At Capybara Care, safeguarding the personal, medical, and developmental records of our young clients and their families is our highest ethical priority. We adhere strictly to the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, and international clinical data privacy best practices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information solely to provide personalized, high-quality pediatric therapeutic care. This includes:

  • Parent / Guardian Information: Full name, phone number, email address, residential address in Gurugram/NCR, and emergency contact details.
  • Child Clinical & Developmental Profile: Child’s name, date of birth, medical history, prior diagnoses (e.g., Autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges), pediatrician referrals, and school reports.
  • Therapy Progress Data: Session observations, standardized evaluation scores, therapy notes, individualized goals, and formal developmental progress reports.
  • Online Booking & Inquiry Data: Contact details submitted via our Calendly embed, WhatsApp inquiries, or online contact form.

2. Processing Children's Personal Data (DPDP Act Section 9)

In accordance with Section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

  • All clinical, developmental, and demographic data of minors is collected strictly with verifiable parental or lawful guardian consent.
  • We do not engage in behavioral tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising directed at children.
  • Therapy records are never commoditized, sold, or shared with third-party commercial data brokers under any circumstances.

3. How Your Data Is Protected & Stored

We maintain rigorous technical and administrative safeguards:

  • Role-Based Access Control: Only authorized therapists directly assigned to your child’s care have access to their clinical milestones and session notes.
  • Data Encryption: All digital records, report transcripts, and portal communications are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest.
  • Parent Portal Moderation: All clinical evaluation reports undergo therapist review and sign-off before being marked as published to the parent portal.

4. Your Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you retain full ownership and rights over your child’s data:

  • Right to Access: Review all published progress reports and evaluation summaries at any time via our Parent Portal.
  • Right to Correction: Request immediate corrections to any outdated personal or contact details.
  • Right to Portability & Erasure: Request a complete export or permanent deletion of non-statutory records upon concluding therapy.
